A while ago, I am sure I mentioned that the Call of Cthulhu LCG would no longer be releasing the smaller ‘Asylum’ packs once a month or so. Instead, they would only be releasing the Deluxe expansions at 3 month intervals. And so the newest one has come about, called Denizens of the Underworld, the sixth Deluxe expansion for Call of Cthulhu and the fourth to focus on a specific faction.
You might be able to guess from the name of this article and the name of the expansion itself, Denizens of the Underworld is all about the Syndicate, the faction that has a similar feel to both the Mafia and the Prohibition-era Gangsters. Roughly two thirds of the 165 cards (55 individual cards with a playset of three each) will be Syndicate cards, with the rest being spread out between the other factions. A new Ancient One exists in there somewhere as well.
I just made a new Syndicate (combo’d with Yog-Sothoth) deck, so this would be a nice addition to my ever growing collection. Of course, this has only been announced as coming soon, so we will have to wait a little bit yet, so back to the gaming tables and Speak Easy’s.
