Brian is a pro player who writes for Channel Fireball. He has won two Grand Prix and made top 8 on seven occasions. He has also seen great success on the Star City Games Tour.

How are you enjoying Australia so far?
Brian: I like it. I’ve been here for about a week and a half and it’s been pretty good. The food has been great. We’ve eaten at Thai or Indian restaurants most nights. I’ve really enjoyed it a lot. Australia is one of the better places I have been to.

Who did you test with for this Pro Tour?
Brian: Team Face to Face games. I’ve tested with them a few times now. They are a strong set of players and I get along really well with them.

How did your testing go?
Brian: I think it was pretty good. It was a little weird for me because I was chasing the Grand Prix player of the year, so I focused on limited for Grand Prix Sydney. Once the Grand Prix was done, I changed gears and focused on standard and I think overall it went pretty well.

Are you guys on the same deck or split over a few different ones?
Brian: We are mostly on the same deck. We are pretty happy with it, but we will just have to see how it goes when constructed starts.

Are there any cards that you think are underrated coming in to the Pro Tour?
Brian: It’s hard to say. We are playing a few in our deck that aren’t super popular right now, but we will see how that goes.

How are you in regards to the Pro Players Club this season?
Brian: I need a 12-4 finish to hit platinum. Unfortunately there is a cap on Grand Prix results, so most of my points haven’t really counted.

Brian went 9-6-1 and unfortunately missed out on reaching platinum status this season.
